Delivering social activist content to your Instagram feed

Impact is an emerging social media activist platform made up of queer, POC, and femme content and design contributors around the world who collaborate to inform and bring awareness to our quick growing audience. With a large social media presence on Instagram, I have designed a collection of posts regarding ongoing social issues and current events. For each post, I aim to connect the content to best match the tone and styling of messaging that aims to effectively communicate the content.

What has made impact and social activism platforms on Instagram so successful in communicating current events and discussing an array of topic is by formatting posts in a way that draw users in from discovering and instantly interacting with the content within a matter of seconds. Also the fact that no two posts look exactly the same.

Digital Zine Publication

Being one of the first of its kind, impact launched their very first digital zine publication accessed exclusively by the members of their Patreon. It contains essays written by a small group of writers and contributors from impact that communicate facts and recent events that have a strong place in our democracy and world today. My role in this publication was strictly visual, coming up with ways to format and divide up the spreads to create a more a meaningful reading experience and introducing imagery to diversify layout and pair with the written content.
